Today is mom’s birthday and yesterday she received the best birthday gift that she had no idea she’d be getting. A visit from Cyndie! They had actually chatted several times since Cyndie and Wade were here last month and we never let on that Cyndie would be in town for her birthday. We weren’t sure that she was going to be able to pull it off due to her work schedule but thankfully it worked out. Super short visit but mom was so happy to have her here.
I told mom I’d make anything that she wanted for her special dinner and she chose lasagna and German Chocolate cake. Dinner came out great, she was showered with balloons and flowers, lots of cards, and even a visit from her niece. It was a low-key yet very special day.
Thank you to everyone that remembered her on her birthday today. She opened her cards, I read her the texts and FB messages, and listened to her voicemail. I know that she felt special today and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
