No calls over night – what a relief! When I got into mom’s room she was sitting in her chair finishing breakfast. PT had already been in. She’s still in Afib but she’s not having any pain. They are just working out the correct medicines that she needs to stabilize her heart rate and then we can talk about discharging. She is looking and sounding much better.
I left her a bit ago and she understands that I won’t be seeing her until Monday. She said that she’ll be working hard to get better and she won’t be getting out of bed unless she has help. Her friend, H, will be by to visit with her later today and then Cyndie will be here tomorrow. I’m hopeful that her transition to rehab will go smoothly. Mom said not to worry about her – she’s going to be fine. I’ll be checking in with my support team (my sister and H). If there is anything notable to report I’ll post when I can. Just keep her in your prayers that she’s truly on the right track and on the mend!
