Today was definitely a roller coaster ride. I am exhausted so I will try and make this quick so I can get to bed. I have an early morning tomorrow.
Today started out on a pretty bad note. I arrived and mom was already indicating that she wanted to get out of the bed. She told me that she “wanted to see if she could stand up”. Nurses came in and she was running a low grade fever and started acting pretty confused, not realizing that she was in the hospital (she thought she was at my house). Then she ended back in Afib. Reason is likely due to the stress of her fall. While trying to address that issue, the medication dropped her blood pressure a lot. Things were adjusted throughout the day and by the last update from the nurse, her heart rate seems to be back to a normal rhythm and her last blood pressure reading was 110/70.
So we’re a go for tomorrow morning. I am to be there before 7AM. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for 8:00, but as things so it’s always subject to change. I’ll post an update after her surgery. Keep her in your prayers that all goes as it should.
