Testing Today – Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Mom is still having lots of issues with her legs. Pain in one hip, knees swell a little from time to time, some calf pain, not able to bear much weight on her left side… Since it’s been a week, her therapists conferred and felt that it would be a good idea to get her checked out to make sure that there really isn’t something going on that we need to be aware of.

First available appointment with her primary isn’t until after Thanksgiving. Not wanting to wait that long, we headed up to Patient First. They did X-Rays of her hips and both knees and also took some blood work to rule out any kind of viral/immunity issue. Good news is, everything came back normal! There really isn’t any “bad” news, other than we don’t have any real answers. We’re just chalking it up to overdoing it last week. We have to remember that she is not the spring chicken she once was. She worked SUPER hard leading up to this. I know that I have had such tough workout sessions that I was out of commission for several days. She very well could just need a couple of weeks to recover. I’m hoping that by this time next week she’s pretty close to feeling as well as she was last week.

Please keep her in your prayers. I hate seeing her in pain. Patience is wearing thin too since I’m sure she’s really, really bored. She’s a tough cookie. She’ll get past this hurdle and will be even stronger than before!
